To stand out as an innovator, it is important to harness your creativity to find new and authentic ways to build out your network and design a roadmap for turning concepts into actionable steps. To learn about the transformational power of creativity, join Jin-Ya Huang’s sessions, “Transforming Ideas into Purpose-Driven Goals” and “Build Your Community Architecture”, at ACEL’s Dynamics of Leadership Conference from August 19-20, 2022.

Jin-Ya Huang is a social impact, community development, and creative innovator with a focus on the intersection of equity, design, and social justice work. She is the founder of Break Bread, Break Borders (BBBB), a social enterprise empowering refugee women economically through the storytelling of food and culture. Jin-Ya is an expert in sustainable global supply chain, and has over a decade of extensive background in marketing for Fossil Group, JCPenney,Neiman Marcus, and Keurig Dr Pepper.

She is an acclaimed interdisciplinary artist who has shown in galleries in Dallas, Miami and New York. Her work examines her Asian identity and diasporic immigrant experience. Jin-Ya is an accomplished, published writer and public speaker. Her work has been featured at the Bush Institute, Dallas Innovates, Amon Carter Art Museum, Texas Lyceum, Slow Food USA, Toyota of North America, Airbnb International, Today Show, NPR Morning Edition and in TIME Magazine, highlighted as a Community Bridge Builder Across America.

With an eye towards new approaches to entrepreneurship, empowering women and improving race relations, she serves on the Advisory Board Directors for the LiftFund, Verdigris Ensemble, Encore Park and Dallas Asian American Historical Society. Jin-Ya is highly regarded for her ability to bring communities and people of all backgrounds together. Huang is appointed as a social entrepreneur at SMU Hunt Institute Economic Inclusion Consortium. She is one of the D Magazine 78 Women Changing the Face of Dallas. Jin-Ya is a proud member of the Orchid Giving Circle, which is a fund of The Texas Women’s Foundation, a fellow of PLS, the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a recipient of the Maura Women Helping Women Award, and the Triumph of the Spirit for Human Rights Honoree. She is a current cohort of the Leadership Women Texas, Les Dames d’Escoffier, and the National Hello Neighbor Network
