Anasone Silivongxay is an education leader and advocate for the Laotian community in Arizona. As a current high school teacher, Anasone teaches Advanced Placement U.S. History, Ed Profession and the Advancement via Individual Determination Program (AVID) and is a mentor for FIRST robotics.
In the community, Anasone serves as the chair of the Laotian American National Alliance (LANA), a non profit organization in addition to helping with the LANA newsletter and organizing their national conferences.
Anasone first immigrated to the U.S. in 1979 and received her B.S. in History and English from Eastern New Mexico University. She also has a Master in Education Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
