Vice President of Membership – Kim Ho

Kim is a native of Arizona and attended the U of A, graduating with a degree in Business Marketing in 2005. She has over 9 years of business to business consultative experience and over 6 years in medical sales. Previous positions include National Sales Trainer and Western Regional Sales Manager for TP Orthodontics and she is currently the Southwest Region Medical Sales Executive for TeleVox Software.

Kim became interested in ACEL and joined in December 2013. Since her enrollment she has taken an active leadership role in building retention and a better membership experience as well as participating in the events committee and Mentorship Program. She appreciates the amazing people she has had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with and looks forward to continuing the growth and positive impact of ACEL in the community.

Kim is also actively involved in her local Toastmasters group, volunteers for the City of Scottsdale Public Library and is a Black Belt who still studies regularly at 9 Dragons Kung Fu in North Phoenix.

 


Vice President of Event Operations – Eric Shen

Eric has been a member of ACEL since 2014 and has been involved with the events committee in organizing and executing socials, community service volunteer opportunities, and cultural explorations. He hopes to continue to promote ACEL’s goals and provide interesting opportunities for members to get involved with as Vice President of Events in 2015.

Eric graduated from the University of Arizona (Bear Down!) with degrees in Computer Science and Molecular and Cellular Biology, with a minor in Music. He started out working in bioinformatics, doing research into cross-hybridization of spermatogenesis genes on cDNA microarrays. He also did stints working for the National Cancer Institute and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. He currently works for Intel as a Software Engineer, and loves traveling to other countries around the world and playing music in his spare time.

 

 


Treasurer – Germaine Lee

Germaine has more than 25 years of experience in Internal Auditing, Corporate and Public accounting. She specializes in small business taxation, Trust and Estate taxation, and federal and state income tax preparation. As an IRS Enrolled Agent, she is a dynamic and effective advocate who represents taxpayers in compliance and collection matters before the IRS and the state. She is also skilled in Information Technology.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Germaine graduated from the University of the East with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, and earned her MBA degree at the University of Santo Thomas, the largest and one of the most prominent Catholic universities in Asia. Germaine received her license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines at the early age of 19. She became the youngest Chief Finance Officer of a Lausanne, Switzerland-based, publicly traded international firm, now known as Ferrostaal AG. Her job has allowed her to travel all over South East Asia, but she and her family made their home in Arizona in 1996. Since then, she has worked for a large CPA firm in the valley like Walker and Armstrong from 1997-2002 and Price and Kong CPA from 2003-2009.

Outside the office, Germaine can often be found at her children’s schools participating in volunteer work and being part of the finance committee. Germaine currently resides in Phoenix and enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 energetic sons. She loves collecting cultural masks, traveling, and cooking for her vegetarian family.
