July 20, 2015 (Phoenix, AZ) – On Saturday, July 11, Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL) presented members of the FBI Phoenix Division the Community Partner Award. The accolade was presented at ACEL’s inaugural Leadership Conference.
The award recognizes organizations and individuals who have been exceptionally engaged with ACEL and have embraced the general leadership focus of the program, as well as community engagement and diversity. The FBI Phoenix Division was chosen because of its ongoing relationship with ACEL that has strengthened both organizations. ACEL leaders, Jason Wong, Alise Chan, Hannellie Mendoza, Kristi Lee and Dr. Tony Lee are Citizens Academy alumni, where they gained insightful knowledge of how the Bureau conducts itself. Since 2007, 15 other ACEL officers have also graduated from their flagship program. In addition, 5 youth participants of ACEL, also graduated from FBI’s Teen Academy program.
