Adelaida V. Severson, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of Bushtex Inc., a satellite communications firm founded in 1994. Under her leadership, Bushtex expanded its operations and serves diverse customers, including television networks, corporations, and government agencies. Dr. Severson’s notable achievements include coordinating televised NFL Super Bowl Games, Olympics, and supporting military surveillance.

Raised in Hawaii by Filipino immigrants, Dr. Severson holds a B.A. in Journalism and International Relations from the University of Southern California. She has a Masters of Mass Communication and a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Arizona State University. Her background covers public relations, broadcast journalism, marketing, events management, philanthropy, and satellite communications.

Dr. Severson received various awards, such as induction into the Arizona State University Sun Devil 100 Class of 2019 and the Walter Cronkite School Hall of Fame. She’s recognized as an influential woman in Arizona and a dynamic businesswoman in Phoenix. Dr. Severson values flexibility, personal connections, and treating people respectfully. Her motivation lies in making a positive impact professionally and within the community.
