ACEL Statement on the Mass Shooting in Monterey Park, California
Scottsdale, AZ – Asian Corporate and Entrepreneur Leaders and Jason Wong, ACEL Executive Director, released the following statement after the mass shooting in Monterey Park, California.
We are deeply saddened at the mass shooting that took place in Monterey Park during a time of celebration and hope for Asian Americans, their families and friends during Lunar Year festivities – and instead was tragically met by violence and heartbreak. Our hearts go out to the victims and families affected by this senseless tragedy. We encourage all communities to come together and support each other in this time of healing.
We appreciate all the messages of unity and support that have been coming in from our members, friends and communities for the victims and families of Greater Los Angeles and our greater AAPI community.
