Her organization partners with postsecondary institutions, workforce and economic development agencies, employers, foundations, and other mission-aligned organizations to provide expertise, resources, and innovative solutions that support sustainable and equitable economic growth. “Beyond financial support, I’ve learned one of the best ways I can contribute to my community is to pay it forward with my time. I don’t do it for the recognition, but it was truly an honor to be presented the 2023 Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders – Member of the Year award at the annual gala amongst so many distinguished guests and leaders in the community.” stated Atrero.
Outside of work, Atrero actively engages and advances social justice through regularly presenting at conferences and volunteering with community organizations. Her conference presentations have been accepted at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education, Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education National Conference, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Conference, and the University of Colorado, Boulder’s Womxn’s Leadership Symposium. She also currently serves as the mentorship chair for Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL).
