People often think that Agile is only used in software development, but Agile is actually everywhere! Learn from project management consultant, Amin Leiman, on how the Agile methodology can serve your professional development as well as your personal life. He will be leading workshop titled, “Agile for Leaders: Are you the last one to know?” at ACEL’s Dynamics of Leadership Conference.

Amin Leiman holds the following professional certifications: PMI-ACP®, PMP®, SDC®, SMC®, CPC®, CISA®.  A graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a master’s degree in information technology (IT) auditing, Leiman focused early in his career on cyber-security audit and consulting projects.  He is the author of two books, Karate Project Management and Agile Done Well.

Leiman consults for many of the world’s most successful firms, bringing to them the Agile organization management approach to produce sustainable and flexible business practices. He teaches project management and positive psychology (Appreciative Inquiry) courses in the US, Philippines and Indonesia.  He is a frequent guest speaker of Asian Development Bank, Project Management Institute (PMI) Philippines Chapter and PMI Indonesia Chapter.  Also, he was an adjunct professor at the University of Hawaii, Manoa teaching advanced modern auditing for over 10 years.

He previously held several high-level managerial positions at Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (HEI) and KPMG US. One of his notable projects was working as a Cyber Security Specialist at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), California, USA.

Safety Guidelines: High transmission rates of the COVID-19 Delta variant prompted the CDC to issue new guidelines, stating that fully vaccinated people should wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. In accordance with this new guideline, ACEL requires all Leadership Conference attendees to wear masks during indoor events.

As ACEL has resumed hosting in-person events, we have been mindful of your health and safety. ACEL is committed to following the guidelines issued by federal, state and local governmental agencies and/or event venues.

We know that wearing a mask may be  uncomfortable, but we appreciate everyone  doing their  part to keep  fellow event participants safe. Should you need one, ACEL will have extra masks available.

By registering for the Conference, each attendee acknowledges and agrees to comply with facemask and social distancing protocols, as well as assumes the risk of being exposed to COVID-19.

ACEL strongly recommends that attendees at the Leadership Conference be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to attending the Conference. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious virus that is easily spread by person-to-person contact, especially in indoor areas with multiple attendees.  Participating in ACEL’s Conference could increase the risk of contracting COVID-19, especially for those who are not fully vaccinated.

As such, you may not attend Conference events if you have had close or proximate contact with a COVID-infected individual or you or anyone around you is feeling ill or experiencing any of the following symptoms during the two weeks leading up to the Conference: a cough, fever, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset or experienced a loss of taste or smell.
