During the Asian Corporate and Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL) Leadership Conference, George Chen will be speaking in a workshop titled, Moving Asian Americans into the Corner Office. This workshop will discuss and explore ways on how the Asian community can work together in supporting and encouraging each other to reach for that corporate management position and not settle for less.

George Chen currently works at the Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner law firm in Phoenix, Arizona and specializes in Intellectual Property law and focuses on litigation, licensing, counseling. Chen specializes in areas that include trademark, copyright, licensing, trade secret, Internet, cybersquatting and other intellectual property matters.

Chen received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and received his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU). Chen also studied law at ASU and graduated with a degree in law in 1999.

At Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner , Chen serves on the firmwide international Executive Committee and is the leader of the intellectual property practice for the firm’s Phoenix office. Often times, He represents consumer electronics companies, toy companies, military defense contractors and internet-based businesses. Chen has also represented software companies in lawsuits involving copyright infringement, breach of contract and patent infringement.

Prior to working at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, Chen worked at Motorola and a patent agent and a Process Development Engineer.

Chen has also served as president of the National Asian Pacific Bar Association in Washington D.C.
