Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders (ACEL) is pleased to announce Rudy Pamintuan as the keynote of the upcoming ACELebration of Leadership Gala on January 29, 2022. His commitment to the AAPI community has been demonstrated over the years as a political advisor and ambassador for international affairs.

Rudy Pamintuan is the Managing Director of Sherman Worldwide where he leads day-to-day efforts of the firm, its business units, and all client initiatives – developing, creating, and managing projects while overseeing the firm’s efforts. Sherman Worldwide provides clients with advisory and professional services in the areas of international affairs, blockchain technology, trade, real estate, and security.

Rudy has served as an appointee for President George W. Bush – advising the President on Asian American and Pacific Island issues as Chairman of the President’s Advisory Council on AAPI. As an appointee, Rudy was also tapped to promote KORUS (US-Korea Free Trade Agreement), CAFTA (Central America Free Trade Agreement) and traveled extensively representing the White House at a variety of high profile events. In 2008, Rudy served as a senior advisor to United Nations President Miguel d’Escoto Brockman. Rudy was appointed to serve on the US Delegation for the 2015 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation)  Summit in Makati, Philippines. Recently, Rudy served on the President-Elect Donald J Trump Transition Team. Rudy currently serves on the Nevada Advisory Committee to the US Commission on Civil Rights.

Rudy is committed to philanthropic engagement — maintaining aggressive involvement through his volunteer work in the areas of civil rights, global health, education, women and children. He serves on a variety of boards including the Batonga Foundation and the International Leadership Foundation. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2011 National WWAAC (Who’s Who in Asian American Community) Award.

Meet Your 2021 ACEL Honorees:

Corporate Leader of the Year: Larry Hofer, Cox CommunicationsAs Vice President of People Services for Cox Communications’ Southwest Region, Larry Hofer provides leadership and strategic direction for human resources and development for over 4,800 employees in Arizona and Nevada. Over the years, Larry has helped transform the region, resulting in Cox receiving Best Places to Work recognition in both states.

Entrepreneurial Leader of the Year: Cindy Louie, Hawker Street MarketCindy Louie is a multi-disciplinary designer, community leader, entrepreneur and festival producer. She has founded several companies including, Go Studio Go (interior design firm for the hospitality industry), Hawker Street Market (a community based, multi-cultural food festival) and PHX Night Market (Arizona’s first large scale night market). In addition to being a serial entrepreneur, she has led several fundraising initiatives for the local community and helped launch many small food businesses.

Education Leader of the Year: Dr. Clyne Namuo, Phoenix CollegeDr. Clyne Namuo currently serves as the Interim President of Phoenix College. He worked collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop a comprehensive academic plan that spawned a number of initiatives including an equity initiative, the creation of mediated classrooms, expansion of mobile technology across instruction, the creation of the construction trades institute, and more.

Community Leader of the Year: Ethel Luzario, The 3000 Club Ethel Luzario is the co-founder of The 3000 Club, a 501(c)3, food rescue, medical reclamation, and humanitarian outreach. The 3000 Club is US Based and an international chapter in the Philippines. Her community involvement in the past decade has been to bridge her Arizona and Asian connections through various missions to the Philippines.
