Veronica Bahn  is a dynamic business leader and passionate connector based in Phoenix. With 35+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, sales, and website creation, she is the driving force behind Transform My Social Media, Veronica’s mission is to help clients Be So Visible They Can’t Be Ignored™and is a sought-after speaker on Canva as a marketing tool, to save entrepreneurs time in content and graphics development for social media and marketing. As the Managing Director of eWomenNetwork Phoenix, Veronica has made a significant impact, with awards for: 2022 Business Matchmaker of the Year, Women to Watch in 2023, and Foundation Advocate award at this year’s ICON 2023..


Rhonda Bannard is the founder of Earth Gives and Inspired Connections, a non-profit that builds connectivity between people and environmental and climate nonprofits doing critical work on climate change. She has served nonprofits, associations and companies in the areas of marketing, communications, strategic planning, fund development, event/program development, board development and collaborative partnerships, and more.  Rhonda continues to mentor women, and has received honors such as the Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame (2019); The Phoenix Business Journal’s 30 Outstanding Businesswomen (2015), and as a finalist for the 2020 ATHENA Businesswoman of the Year.


Gerald Bohulano is the Corporate Communications Manager at BCBSAZ. He strategizes communication plans and oversees tactical execution for Blue Cross Blue Shield AZ’s more than 2M members. His passion for community relations led him to launch and oversee communications for BCBS’s first Foundation. Gerald is a contributing TV news correspondent for ABS-CBN News and The Filipino Channel. Among his other passions are storytelling and the pursuit of diversity in media which inspires him to continue as a commercial actor under Ford Robert Black. His campaigns and projects include Google, Best Western, UHAUL, and more. He founded the first LGBT alumni association in Arizona, Devils’ Pride at Arizona State University.


Erika Castro is the Supplier Diversity Program Manager at Salt River Project (SRP), and carries out Supplier Diversity strategies by connecting diverse businesses to purchasing teams. She is a member of the Hablamos SRP ERG and has been its Chair the past 4 years. Erika is a member of the Chandler Cultural Foundation Board, Public Policy Committee Member for the Chandler Chamber and member of the Community Superintendent Council for Kyrene School District. An alumna of Valley Leadership, Hispanic Leadership Institute, Erika was  recognized on the Women of Chandler list.


Max Chan is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Avnet, a skilled and visionary technology executive. He leads all aspects of IT, focusing on cybersecurity, digital strategy, and transformations to make Avnet a digital-first organization. Chan oversees the global IT team, ensuring a robust and optimized IT environment. He also heads the digital system integration business, delivering services and solutions to both internal and external customers. Chan joined Avnet in 2013 as VP of IT for Avnet Technology Solutions in Asia Pacific, leading critical system implementations and building Global Development Centers.


Roger Cheng is a dedicated Sr. Supplier Diversity Sourcing Manager at AT&T. With over 14 years of experience in the technology industry, Roger’s expertise lies in leading business development initiatives through Supplier Diversity, having previously excelled with M/WBEs. Roger is affectionately known as “The Voice” for his captivating emcee and VOG (Voice of God) performances at various prestigious events nationwide. In acknowledgment of his unwavering support for gender equality, Roger was bestowed with the esteemed #Hes4Shes Champion title at the WBENC National Conference in 2017.


Alex Chester-Iwata is an Actor and the Founder/CEO of Mixed Asian Media – A website and community for mixed APIs. Alex received the 2023 Women of Distinction Assembly 69th of California award, and was one of the Asian Hustle Network’s top 50 Unsung Heroes. Some acting credits include New Amsterdam, The Good Fight, and The Closer. Alex is on the board of ACE Next Gen’s NYC Chapter and the Board of Directors for the American Advertising Federation’s LA Chapter. She also serves on the Advisory Board of her alma mater, St. Mary’s LEAP Program and is a member of Gold House.


Rebecca Clyde is the CEO & Co-Founder of Botco.ai. She is a future thinking, goal-oriented and globally-minded marketing leader who drives business growth through creative and innovative communication strategies. Skilled at recognizing market trends, multi-cultural nuances and uncovering customer needs to develop highly-effective and targeted marketing campaigns. Patricia Crenshaw is the President and CEO of Pacific Southwest Minority Development Council. She has more than 20 years of experience in public/external affairs, fund development, public relations, brand management, media relations, and strategic partnerships development for varied sectors. Patricia specializes in data-driven, science/technology-heavy programs in nonprofits, healthcare/medical research recruiting, business operations and project management. Patricia is a founding member of the Black Philanthropy Initiative and African American Giving and Empowerment Circle.


John Fung is the Development Manager at El Rio Health. He began his career as an agent for the Allstate Insurance Company, then went into the pharmaceutical and medical sales industry for the next 14 years. In 2014, John joined the University of Arizona Development Team and has raised over $16M dollars for research, scholarships and faculty support. In 2021, John joined the Gospel Rescue Mission in Tucson, which serves the homeless population with recovery, housing and workforce assistance. John serves on the board for Junior Achievement of Arizona Southern District, and the U of A Asian American Faculty and Staff Alumni Club.


Elizabeth Greene is the Senior Director of Organizational Learning and Development for a semiconductor firm, Lam Research. In her previous role as Director of Global Learning and Development at Onsemi she was honored with The Trailblazer Award in recognition of her outstanding work. As a thought leader in the L&D community, Elizabeth enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with others as evidenced through speaking engagements and numerous published articles. Along with her many professional roles, she enjoys being a wish-granting volunteer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, serves numerous boards.


Mike Hayashi is a the owner of Take Control Self Defense. He has provided his self-empowerment & security seminars at 525 companies and universities across America, Aruba & Jamaica. Holding both a Master’s Degree in Education and several Karate Black Belts, he has made 450 TV appearances and been nominated for an Emmy Award. Mike’s life mission is to end violence against women, his seminars have reached over 500,000 participants in 27 States. Maria Hechanova   is a former television news reporter and communications professional who recently made a career pivot. This month, she was named executive director of Save Our Mountains Foundation, the nonprofit that operates North Mountain Visitor Center in Phoenix. She will oversee operations, fundraising, and will work to protect the beloved Phoenix Mountains Preserve for future generations. Maria spent the last year and a half as a stay-at-home mom. Prior to her workforce hiatus, Maria earned a spot reporting on Phoenix television for 3TV, CBS 5, Arizona’s Family popular newscast Good Morning Arizona. She spent 12 years in television news and credits the Asian American Journalists Association for helping launch her media career. She’s a passionate water safety advocate and currently serves as a board member on the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.


Dr. Lupita Ley Hightower is the Superintendent of Tolleson Elementary School District No. 17. She has worked in education for over 26 years in various roles and has served as superintendent for the last 12 years. Her greatest accomplishment is bringing more learning opportunities to students who would otherwise not have them. She is proud to serve on the Board of Trustees for GCU and served as past President for Arizona School Administrators and the Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (AzALAS).  Among her awards are: Arizona’s Superintendent of the Year (2023), National Latinx Superintendent of the Year (2019) and ASA Superintendent Award for Mid-Size Districts.


Kim Ho – As evolvedMD’s Director of Sales, Ms. Ho helms business development, sales, and outreach to a national portfolio of current and prospective customers while also overseeing program implementation, efficacy, and commercial excellence. Accomplishments and accolades aplenty, Ms. Ho has been honored and recognized as one of Phoenix Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 Business and Community Leaders, featured in 2019 Phoenix 100+Women to KNOW Book + Tribe, and is Member of the Year and a Class 37 Graduate of Valley Leadership Institute.

 


Rodney Hu is the Owner of Yucca Tap Room and a home-grown entrepreneur. He honed his investment instincts with 8 years on Wall Street as an investment analyst. As the owner of The Yucca Tap Room, Rodney also manages multiple commercial retail and residential properties. Rodney co-founded the Arizona Distilling Company, producing the first locally distilled spirits in Phoenix since prohibition. He has been actively involved in the cannabis industry, played a significant role in launching popular cannibis brands and advocating for legalization in the state. Phoenix New Times recognized him as one of the top 100 tastemakers.


Bill Imada is Chairman and Chief Connectivity Officer of IW Group, a public relations and marketing agency specializing in multicultural markets in the U.S.A.  Bill’s agency represent clients such as Apple TV+,  Centers for Disease Control, Southern California Edison, Jack Daniels, Lexus, Lionsgate, McDonald’s, Nielsen, Sony Pictures, Walmart, Walt Disney, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and many others. In 2022, Bill was inducted into the PR Week Hall of Fame. This year, Bill will be nominated for the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Fame (2024).

 


Lavanya Jawaharlal is the President of STEM Center USA. She created a bilingual STEM curriculum that is taught to more than 15,000 migrant students across five states. She co-founded STEM Center USA, which provides learning opportunities to K–12 students. Lavanya is a two-time TEDx speaker and co-author of The Technical Alphabet. In 2015, STEM Center USA was recognized by the Obama Administration and featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank”, receiving two investment offers from Lori Greiner and Chris Sacca. Lavanya holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California – Berkeley, and a Master’s in Educational Evaluation and Data Analysis from Claremont Graduate University.


Phil Kim, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP®, CRES is the Managing Director and founding member of Signature Wealth Concepts. He graduated from Cornell University and transitioned to the financial industry in 2002. Phil’s focus is on providing unbiased guidance to investors. His firm develops specific strategies for families and high net worth households to minimize taxes, safeguard assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth. He has received commendations, including induction into the University of Arizona’s Beta Gamma Sigma society, the 2021 Ford Volunteer Service recognition, and the 2022 Equitable Advisors Regional Honor Associate award.


Anthony King is the Partner of the Snell & Wilmer. Tony represents clients in federal and state court involving business contract disputes, real estate disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, employer-employee disputes, and a plethora of business torts and other claims. King has experience with each stage of litigation, from beginning to end, including the discovery process, managing complex e-discovery cases, summary judgment, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, equitable relief. King is a member of Snell & Wilmer’s Attorney Development Committee and the Committee on Diversity & Inclusion.


Sandy Ko is the Founder and Principal of Customer Contact Women (CCWomen), and an award-winning intrapreneur recognized by Leading Women Entrepreneurs and named to Insight Success’ Top 10 Most Ambitious Women in Business to Follow. The CCWomen community features women leaders and allies from across industries and generations who share their expertise and vision on critical issues facing women in customer contact. Sandy believes that it’s essential to communicate the power of the CCWomen community to help build a world for women.

 


Barbara Vo Koldos is the Vice President of Business Development of New North, Inc. Using her gifts of communication, connectivity, and collaboration to help better Northeast Wisconsin, Barbara is a firm believer in being a part of a community versus simply living in it. Professionally, she is Vice President, Business Development for New North, and serves in varying capacities for the De Pere Area Chamber, Mid-America Economic Development Council, and the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband. Named one of Wisconsin’s Most Influential Asian American Leaders and currently President of ACEL (Asian Corporate Entrepreneur Leaders) Northeast Wisconsin Chapter, Barbara lives in Suamico with her husband and two children.


Van Lai-DuMone is a visionary Founder and Creative Cultural Strategist at worksmart. She believes in leveraging creativity, play, and experiential learning to transform mindsets, skill sets, and behaviors in the workplace. Her TEDx Talk, “What if? The Life Changing Power of Curiosity,” inspires audiences with her unique perspective. She has worked with prestigious clients like Google, LinkedIn, and Pandora and is a valued member of the Fast Company Executive Board. Van specializes in empowering women through her LEAPing Women into Leadership Programs, in collaboration with True Cycle Coaching. Her transformative leadership approach continues to inspire individuals and organizations alike.


Kimber Lanning is an entrepreneur and community development specialist dedicated to building self-reliant communities across Arizona. As the founder of Local First Arizona, she focuses on creating an inclusive and diverse state economy. Local First Arizona is widely recognized for its efforts in providing greater access to capital for communities. Kimber’s comprehensive approach to economic development includes entrepreneurship and community building to foster a resilient economy. Her leadership has earned her various awards, including the Distinguished Citizen Planner Award and recognition as one of the “50 Most Influential Women in Arizona.”


Kristi Lee is the CEO of ElegantLee Design. She has over 36 years of experience in marketing, retail, and business strategy for corporate America and private consulting. Kristi has been responsible for product and marketing decisions for 2,300 Albertson’s Food and Drug stores in 38 states, and negotiations with national brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Proctor & Gamble, Maybelline and Revlon. Kristi was one of the Founders of ACEL. She helped create the Professional Development and Mentorship programs and has served as Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors for 4 years. In 2011, Kristi was the recipient of the Positively Powerful Woman Award for Non-Profit Leadership


Jack Liu is the Founder & CEO of ProCARE Portal. With extensive experience in software development, Incentive Compensation Management, and the implementation and delivery of compensation solutions – Jack is an innovator that is passionate about solving business problems through technology and automation. He founded ProCARE Portal in 2014, drawing upon his consulting and industry experience from various Fortune 100 and 500 companies to develop a disruptive technology solution specifically aimed at the healthcare provider compensation market. His visionary leadership has shaped a platform that will optimize and advance incentive compensation delivery in the ever-changing landscape of the healthcare industry.


Telma Lopez is the Manager of Diversity Programs for Southwest Gas Corporation and is part of a team that oversees the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts and Supplier Diversity activities in Nevada, California and Arizona. Telma joined Southwest Gas in 1996 and has previously served in various positions within the organization, including in the Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs and Public Affairs teams. Telma serves on the advisory board for CPLC Nevada and volunteers with local nonprofits in her community. 

 


Dr. Jay Maningo-Salinas serves as the Vice Chair of Research at Mayo Clinic in Arizona where she provides leadership oversight of more than 400 scientific faculty, clinical and allied health staff. She has nearly 30 years of nursing experience in clinical and leadership roles in various health care settings including hematology, oncology, solid organ and bone marrow transplant and surgery. Dr. Jay is recognized as a Nurse Executive Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (NE-BC), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and has achieved the recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).


Sibia Manzanarez is the Supplier Diversity Program Manager at APS. She was born in Sinaloa, Mexico and has called Arizona her home since childhood. As APS’s Supplier Diversity Program Manager, Sibia brings extensive experience in community engagement and currently serves as the Program Chair of the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council and Vice Chair of the Arizona Latino Arts and Cultural Center. Sibia earned a Supply Chain Management degree from Arizona State University and an MBA from Grand Canyon University.


David Meng joined Carvana in 2021 as Associate Director of Strategy & Analytics for the Customer Nurture team. He has since held several roles within the company and currently leads Digital Communications Strategy for Customer Experience. Prior to joining Carvana, David spent the first decade of his career in various companies and roles within the financial services industry, including J.P. Morgan Asset Management, American Express, and Vanguard. David graduated in 2010 from Arizona State University with degrees in Finance and Economics, and he holds a Masters in Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Management.


Christy Moore is the Founder & Owner of Social Spin, Inc., botha profit-driven laundry service and an award-winning social justice enterprise. Social Spin brings nonprofit partners to Social Spin locations, to provide care, services and employment assistance and opportunities. Christy recently expanded this mission through the creation of the Social Spin Foundation, a nonprofit committed to ensuring that everyone has access to clean clothes. She received GPCC’s Athena Young Professional Award, Phoenix Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, National Association of Women Business Owners – Phoenix Business Impact Award, ONE’s Organizational Accomplishment and Innovation Award, YWCA’s Advocacy Award.


Rekha Nair is the daughter of immigrants and a Phoenician. She is a proud graduate of Arizona State University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law (L’12).  She is a former math teacher, public defender, and has been fighting to protect and expand the rights of immigrants and their families in Arizona since 2014. She co-founded and currently leads the Phoenix Legal Action Network (PLAN), a nonprofit that partners with local immigrant-led organizations to advance immigrant justice.  She loves chocolate and speaking Spanglish; she abhors injustice and most fruit.

 


Sharon Ng is the Partner of Stinson LLP. She is an experienced attorney with a expertise in employment law, where she offers guidance to HR professionals and executives. Sharon serves a diverse client base, including healthcare, technology companies, and Tribes. Her litigation expertise covers breach of contract, employment class actions, discrimination cases, and wage disputes. Sharon has led the Arizona Asian American Bar Association and mentored numerous law students. She received the ACEL Corporate Leader Award and was honored as one of AZ Business Magazine’s Most Influential Minority Business Leaders in 2023.


Rebecca Okamoto is the founder of Evoke.Pro. She shattered barriers as the first Asian American woman to reach a senior manager role in Procter & Gamble Supply Chain and the first woman of Japanese descent to oversee a supply chain in Japan. Founder of Evoke.Pro, a virtual mentorship and leadership consultancy, she passionately empowers individuals and revolutionizes the visibility of diverse voices. With a focus on mentorship, Okamoto captivates audiences through inspiring speeches and workshops. Okamoto specializes in coaching leaders to effectively present complex, game-changing concepts to senior stakeholders, positioning herself as a trusted advisor for corporations seeking to excel in senior leadership communication.


Dr. Vu H. Pham – As the CEO of Spectrum Knowledge & Chair of Elevate, Vu H. Pham, Ph.D., works organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to major federal government to non-profit agencies. He heads several communities of practice with ERGs and Executive-level mastermind groups and has taught Executive Education and leadership at UCLA, UC San Diego, and UC Irvine. His work has been featured on national and international multimedia, such as CNN, MSNBC, the Associated Press, Forbes, Voice of America, Los Angeles Times, and more. He has helped generate over a million dollars for non-profit groups and donates many hours to them.

 


Kat Proffitt is a Sales Executive at Dräger. She has over 15 years of consultative B2B experience, over 11 years in medical sales, and demonstrated early entrepreneurial instincts by investing in real estate in her late 20s. After several years in the corporate environment managing multi-state territories, Kat began to crave community and connection. She was able to channel that energy into several small business ventures, where she identified a passion for local entrepreneurship and the community that it can create. Kat is a Valley Leadership Institute alumna (Class 41) and has been involved in various aspects of ACEL over the last 5 years.


Anita Ranhotra is the Distribution Engineering Manager at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO. During Anita’s 22 years at Hallmark, she has worked in engineering, manufacturing, distribution, procurement, product integrity and supply chain solutions. Anita holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Master’s in Engineering Management, both from Kansas State University. Anita has been the recipient of the following awards: Outstanding Young Industrial Engineer of the Year, Fellow with IISE, Professional Progress Award from K-State’s College of Engineering, Leader of the Year by NAAAP, and STEMMY award for Groundbreaking Leadership by the Central Exchange of Kansas City.


Patricia Ratulangi is the VP of Global Communications – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Nielsen, with over 20 years of expertise. She uses Nielsen data and insights on audiences, media representation and content to amplify AANHPI voices in the media industry.  Pat collaborates with HR and DE&I teams to drive employee engagement and foster a bias-free culture. She co-leads Nielsen’s AANHPI Business Resource Group and won PRSA Chicago’s Diversity & Inclusion Team Champion award in 2022. She serves on the board of VOICES for AAPI, advocating for increased representation of Asian professionals in marketing and communications.


Jean Seo is founder of Evolue Skin Care. She opened the very first eco-chic beauty boutique in Beverly Hills in 2007, where she stocked the most popular green beauty brands. She discovered that her discerning Hollywood celebrity clients weren’t satisfied with the results, so she formulated products utilizing moisturizing factors naturally occuring in our bodies, and developed Evolue Skincare. Today, Evolue Skincare proudly offers two brands globally: Evolue Beverly Hills, an anti-aging skincare; and LUE by Jean Seo, an accessible organic skincare sold at 1,371 Walmart Supercenters in the US.


Adelaida V. Severson , Ph.D ., is the President and CEO of Bushtex, Inc., a renowned satellite communications firm she co-founded in 1994 . She played a key role in expanding the company’s services, coordinating broadcasts for events like NFL Super Bowl Games and the Olympics. She has received numerous awards, including being named one of the “Most Influential Women in Arizona” and the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Pacific Southwest region. Her community involvement includes serving as a Flinn-Brown Fellow, an ASU Trustee, and participating in various philanthropic causes.


Dilawar Syed is the Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), bringing a wealth of experience from his time at the State Department, where he advocated for American businesses as the Special Representative for Commercial & Business Affairs. As a top commercial diplomat, he promoted U.S. companies’ global competitiveness, aiding strategic sectors like aviation, defense, energy, and technology. He led private sector support for Ukraine after Russia’s invasion. Previously, he was CEO at Lumiata, focusing on AI healthcare, and President at Freshworks. His civic contributions span federal, state, and local levels, fostering economic growth and inclusive entrepreneurship. Syed holds an M.B.A. from Wharton and a B.A. from UT Austin.


Elaine SzetoAs Founder and Chief Innovation Officer at Integro Bank, Elaine Szeto leads business strategy through operational excellence, digital marketing, and technological innovation to position clients for success.  Szeto also served as the Chief Product Officer at Western Alliance Bancorporation, where she executed digital technology solutions,   launched new products and established new lines of business. Szeto has helped key fintech partners shape their product roadmaps to drive positive impact . Her experience also includes numerous executive leadership roles at Mutual of Omaha Bank and PNC Bank.


Steve Vicera is the Founder of Sommet Fitness. For over 20 years, Steve Vicera has been helping people reach their goals for better function, greater fitness, and an overall sense of well-being. He founded Sommet Fitness in 2007 and uses the Pilates methodology as an alternative to pain medications and surgery. Sommet Fitness Pilates and Physical Therapy Studio was recently recognized as one of the Top 5 Pilates Studios in 2023. Currently, Steve is a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor and Pain-Free Movement Specialist. He specializes in spinal stabilization and corrective exercise. His main emphasis is on safety and function, with a specialization on back pain.


Monica Wang ‘s life passion is to live, discover and share her life journey to empower others. She is a results-oriented corporate strategy executive with a proven track record designing winning infrastructure solutions. Monica is currently the Business Development Director responsible for growing Amentum’s National Security Business Unit.  She is a certified yoga instructor, trail runner, mountain lover, world traveler and mom of 2. Monica has been a coach and mentor for veterans, and actively supports the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) community to empower our people to to heal from trauma and build resilience.


Lisa An Wong has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry in Fortune 500 firms. Currently she serves as the Director of Strategy and Operations in the National Banking Group of BMO Wealth Management. Lisa started her journey in the diversity, equity and inclusion space by joining the Organization of Chinese Americans, and her passion grew, eventually leading to her participation in the White House Initiative of Asian American and Pacific Islanders where she wrote Memorandums of Use to the President of the United States on Asian American Initiatives in 2016 and 2018.


Dr. Hui Wu-Curtis is the Chief Operating Officer & Founder of SupportU. As an executive specializing in contact center operations, Dr. Wu-Curtis has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles across multiple industries . Through her various leadership roles, Hui noticed that high potential talent remained untapped, as they were never given the opportunity for mentorship and coaching needed to advance in their roles. Hui started SupportU, a woman, minority-owned business process outsourcing company that specializes in contact center operations .
